If you have excellent credit you can snag yourself a sign-up bonus as well.  The Capital One Venture, Quicksilver, and Venture One cards all have sign-up bonuses. The Venture card is offering 40,000 bonus miles if you spend 3,000 on purchases within the first three months.

With the Venture One card you can get 20,000 bonus miles by spending $1,000 within three months.  Also, the Quicksilver card offers a one-time bonus of $100 if you spend $500 on purchases in the first three months.
