As with many other nations, relatively stable internal politics and economic policy, combined with a fickle U.S. leadership, has led to appreciation in local currency values against the dollar. While airfare is cheaper than elsewhere in Europe, and commodity prices remain low, this year might be one to take a pass on Bulgaria due to the weakness of the dollar. Another year, the same price might fetch a more luxurious getaway.
