"One of the leading credit card issuers in the United States"

Chase is one of the leading credit card issuers in the United States. Its success has come from the wide variety of cards it offers to both consumers and businesses. Not only will you find a huge selection of cards to help boost your airline and hotel reward balances, but you will also find some great no-fee cashback cards. However, what really makes Chase stand out is its flexible Ultimate Rewards program that, among other things, offers point transfers to a number of different travel partners. With most Chase cards you’ll get big sign-up bonuses, generous rewards on purchases and quite a few travel and shopping benefits.

Rewards Credit Cards from Chase

No matter if you are an experienced travel hacker or a newbie looking to earn your first free vacation, Chase credit cards are the place to start. The sign-up bonus on a card like the Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier credit card will score you several free domestic flights. Or you can choose the United MileagePlus Explorer card, which could send you to a different part of the world after earning the sign-up bonus.

However, if you want a credit card that will make travel much more relaxing, then the Chase Sapphire Reserve card might be for you. Not only will you receive a statement credit that covers the cost of Global Entry or TSA PreCheck, but you will also receive a complimentary Priority Pass membership that gives you access to more than 1,000 airport lounges. Best of all, the card is part of the very flexible Ultimate Rewards program, so you can redeem the points you earn for travel through Chase’s online portal or by transferring them to one of seven airline partners.

If travel isn’t exactly your thing, it’s no problem. The Amazon Rewards Visa Signature card will allow you to earn cash back on purchases made on Amazon.com. Plus, any of the cards that are part of the Ultimate Rewards program will also give you a cashback redemption option.

Chase Ultimate Rewards Credit Cards

There are a handful of cards that are part of the Chase Ultimate Rewards program. These cards give you several ways to redeem the points you earn, including being able to transfer them to airline and hotel partners, booking travel on the Ultimate Rewards platform or for cash back.

Airline Credit Cards

12 cards

Chase has several different airlines credit cards available. Their partnership with United Airlines will give you the chance to receive complimentary United Club passes when you have the United MileagePlus Explorer card or the United MileagePlus Explorer Business card. The British Airways Visa Signature card will offer a free travel together ticket when you spend more than $30,000 in a year with your card.

Hotel Credit Cards

4 cards

Chase is the issuer of cards from many of the major hotel brands, including Hyatt, Marriott, IHG and Ritz-Carlton. Both The Hyatt credit card and The Ritz-Carlton credit card will give you two free nights after meeting the initial spending requirements. Plus, each hotel card also comes with no foreign transaction fees.

Cashback Credit Cards

2 cards

Chase has two different cashback cards available. The Amazon Rewards Visa Signature card will allow you to earn up to three percent back on purchases and comes with no annual fee. The AARP credit card will also give you up to three percent back on purchases, plus you will receive an introductory 0% APR on both purchases and balance transfers.

No matter if you are looking to earn a free flight, free hotel stay or want the flexibility of Ultimate Rewards, Chase has a card for you. Each card will give you a generous sign-up bonus and the ability to earn rewards on every purchase. Some cards will even give you complimentary companion airfare and airport lounge access. The hard part is figuring out which card you want the most.

Compare Chase Credit Cards

Chase has a credit card for everyone. If you are an avid traveler that wants to earn a big sign-up bonus and enjoy elite benefits, then the Chase Sapphire Reserve might be a great fit. However, if you are hoping to earn rewards without an annual fee, then you might want to look into either the Chase Freedom card or the Chase Freedom Unlimited. Both of these give you a great opportunity to earn Chase Ultimate Reward points. But if your end goal is to rack up hotel points and earn elite status, then you might want to add the Marriott Rewards® Premier credit card or the The Ritz-Carlton Rewards® credit card.

Chase Ultimate Rewards Program

The Chase Ultimate Rewards program is one of the most popular credit card rewards programs available today. The reasons are simple. Chase offers a variety of cards that allow you to earn points, there are numerous ways to redeem your rewards and the transfer partners offer great appeal and value.

One of the most popular cards right now is the Chase Sapphire Reserve card. It features a big sign-up bonus, the ability to earn bonus points on travel and dining out, and an annual travel credit that can be used toward any travel expense. The only downside is that it has a hefty annual fee, which might turn some people off. If it does, then there is the Chase Freedom card. It has no annual fee, but gives you the chance to receive bonus points each quarter on rotating categories.

If you are just getting started in travel hacking, then a card from Chase is a good place to start. You will have plenty of options available, which will allow you to either dip your toe in the water or jump right in. Just be aware of Chase’s so-called 5/24 rule. The bank will not approve new credit card accounts if you have opened more than five cards in the past 24 months. These cards could be with Chase or with another credit card issuer.

How to Use Chase Ultimate Rewards Program

Chase Ultimate Rewards points are among the most valuable rewards currencies available because of the variety of ways they can be redeemed. To start, you can redeem points for travel directly on the Chase Ultimate Rewards platform. If you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve card, your points are worth 1.49 cents each. If you have any of the other Ultimate Reward cards, then you will receive 1.25 cents per point.

But the best way to use your points for travel is to transfer them to one of the many travel partners that Chase has available. Using your points for the best redemption rates should always be the end goal. This is true for both new and experienced travel hackers.

Some of the best uses for Ultimate Reward points includes transferring them to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer program to fly to Hawaii. One-way flights costs 17,500 miles in economy or 30,000 miles in business class. Another great option is to fly to either Australia or New Zealand on United Airlines for just 80,000 miles roundtrip. Is Easter Island on your bucket list? If so, you can use 25,000 British Airways Avios to fly from Miami to Santiago, Chili, and then another 12,500 Avios to fly from Santiago to Easter Island in coach. No matter what your dream vacation destination might be, Chase Ultimate Rewards will be able to get you there.

You can also redeem points for either gift cards or cash back and receive one cent per point in value. Do you do a lot of shopping on Amazon.com? If so, then you can shop with your points.

Chase Credit Cards Benefits

Chase credit cards are about more than just the rewards. They are also useful because of the other benefits they come with. These benefits can be very helpful at a time when you might be in a pinch. Maybe you have travel plans and weather causes delays. If your plans are nonrefundable then you could be out a lot of money. This is where trip cancellation insurance can be useful. Plus, what if you purchase a new camera and something goes wrong right after the warranty expires? Luckily a Chase card would have you protected with an extended warranty.

Purchase Protection

This will cover any new purchases against damage or theft for the first 120 days. The benefit limit is $500 per claim and up to $50,000 per account.

Extended Warranty Protection

If you have a warranty of three years or less, using a Chase card will automatically increase the warranty period by one year.

Price Protection

If you notice something you have purchased being advertised for a lower price within the first 120 days, you will be reimbursed the difference, up to $500 per claim and $2,500 per year.

Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption Insurance

If your trip is cut short because of a covered reason, you can receive reimbursement to cover all prepaid, nonrefundable expenses. Benefit amount depends on the card you have.

Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver

Both the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Sapphire Reserve cards offer primary auto rental collision damage coverage. That means they will provide reimbursement, up to the value of the car, without the need to report to a primary insurance company.

Baggage Delay Insurance

With some cards, like the Hyatt credit card, you will receive up to $100 per day (up to five days) in compensation if your luggage is delayed for more than six hours.

Chase Online Banking

Being able to stay up to date with your credit card account has never been simpler than with Chase Online Banking. When you log in to your account you will see a snapshot of your account balances. You can then see all current activity on your account, as well as your previous statements. From there you can pay your bill or even transfer a balance. Plus, from your online banking account, you can visit the Ultimate Rewards portal.

However, there is one thing that really makes Chase different from other banks. It’s Chase QuickPay. This feature gives you the ability to send and receive money with anyone registered for the service. You don’t need to be a Chase customer to use QuickPay, which makes it easy to send money to friends and family even if they bank somewhere else.

Mobile Banking

The Chase mobile banking app is a robust tool that puts everything at your fingertips. You can quickly check the balance on your accounts, or see if a transaction has posted. You can even pay your bills on the go. But what really makes the Chase mobile banking app a popular tool is that you have the ability to deposit checks by just using your smartphone camera. Plus, Chase uses 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to make sure all your information stays safe and out of the wrong hands.

Chase Fraud Protection

To help protect your account information, Chase is using some of the latest fraud protection technologies. This helps them identify potential fraud sooner than ever before. If Chase notices a spending pattern that is out of the ordinary, they will call you to verify purchases. Keep in mind that they will never ask you for any of your personal information on these calls. A temporary hold might be placed on your account if they are unable to reach you by phone.

How to Report Suspected Fraud

If you notice anything that seems suspicious with your account, you are encouraged to contact Chase customer support at 1-800-432-3117.
