Hilton Partners With Uber to Expand Its HHonors App

Members of the Hilton HHonors program can now use the HHonors app to find popular destinations in the cities they’re visiting, thanks to a new partnership with Uber. Hot spots most visited by Uber riders can now be accessed through the Hilton app, allowing users to enjoy the city like a local.

Uber, the digital ride-sharing company that has revolutionized the way people get around, is partnering with Hilton to expand the offerings on the HHonors app, letting people connect with other Uber riders to explore major cities around the United States.

Hilton has integrated Uber into its mobile app

They’re also introducing the Ride Reminder, which will let Hilton guests easily book a car to get them to their destination. A push notification or text message will pop up on the customer’s smartphone, and the hotel’s address will be automatically programmed into the Uber app, so folks can be on their way with one tap of a finger.

“Hilton is a leader in digital innovation,” said Jonathan DiOrio, head of Travel Partnerships at Uber. He said that its “unique mobile-first approach” made Hilton “a natural partner for Uber.”

HHonors App Offers Benefits to Ease Travel

Already, HHonors members can use the app to reserve rooms, check in for their Hilton stay, preorder extras for their rooms and unlock their hotel door with a digital key. Once the Uber partnership is fully integrated, they will also be able to search a list of the most popular restaurants and nightlife locations trending with Uber riders.

The HHonors app now lets users connect with Uber

The program is launching in 20 U.S. cities, with plans to expand. As an incentive, HHonors members who sign up for Uber through the app will get $20 off their first Uber trip.

The HHonors app is available free through the Apple Store, Google Play and the Windows Store for use on iOS, Android and Windows devices.
