Memorial Day is here and people are packing up and taking off. If you are planning a road trip this summer and would like to pump up your miles in the process, there are several deals to be had.

A number of hotel chains are rewarding guests with double and triple miles. So book one of these deals and pack up your SUV or put the top down on your convertible and hit the road.

Hilton

If you’re looking for variety in the location and type of accommodation, Hilton has many options to choose from that are offering bonus miles. Hilton’s loyalty program, Hilton HHonors, is offering double AAdvantage miles through the end of the month. There are several Hilton Hotel chains participating in the promotion.  Hilton, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Embassy Suites, Curio Collection, Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Home2 Suites, Hilton Grand Vacations and Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts are all eligible. The bonus will vary depending on the hotel you will be staying at.

To receive this bonus you must be a member of both the Hilton guest loyalty program and American Airlines frequent flyer program. You must also have your preference set in your HHonors account to earn Points & Miles then you must select American Airlines as your preferred airline. This should be set in advance of the booking. For a limited time, guests can receive 2x the base earn. This offer expires soon so if you know where you want to go, check to see if there’s a Hilton affiliated hotel there.

Country Inns & Suites

Country Inns & Suites are offering double Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns miles at a rate of 500 miles per stay. There is no limit to the amount of miles you can receive with this bonus. However, a stay is considered consecutive nights spent at the hotel. So if you check out of one room and into another in the same hotel this would still be considered a stay which would not result in additional bonus points.

This deal may not be as widespread as the others but they have choice locations at popular destinations which can increase your TrueBlue points balance. You must book by June 15 for a stay that takes place through March 31, 2016.

So set your GPS, pack your bathing suit and head to the coast, then out to the beach. Be sure to provide your frequent flyer account number when you are booking and reference the promotion you are interested in. To get the bonus miles you must book directly through the hotels.
