Miles and More is the frequent flyer program of Lufthansa and the largest frequent flyer program in Europe. Miles and More is also used by 13 integrated Lufthansa partner airlines: Lufthansa Regional (Air Dolomiti, Eurowings, and Lufthansa CityLine), Lufthansa Private Jet, Adria, Austrian, Brussels, Condor Flugdienst, Croatia,  Germanwings, LOT, Luxair and Swiss.

Miles and More members can also use miles and enjoy perks with other Lufthansa partners, such as Star Alliance airlines, Air Astana, Air Malta, and Jet Airways.

Lingo

  • Status miles are the miles you need to earn in order to reach the first two levels: Frequent Traveler and Senator
  • HON Circle miles are status miles you will need to accumulate in order to reach HON Circle status. HON Circle miles are earned on First and Business Class flights operated by the Miles and More integrated member airlines or the best fare on Germanwings flights

Earning Status

There are three elite levels in the Flying Blue program: Frequent Traveler, Senator, and HON Circle. Qualification requirements are as follows:

  • Frequent Traveler: 35,000 status miles or 30 scheduled flights
  • Senator: 100,000 status miles
  • HON Circle: 600,000 HON Circle miles in two consecutive calendar years

Upgrades

  • Senator: Two upgrade eVouchers
  • HON Circle: Six upgrade eVouchers

Flying Blue Bonus Miles

  • Frequent Traveler and above: 25% more award, status, select, and HON Circle miles

Fee Waivers

  • Frequent Traveler and above: Free bags up to 88 lbs.
  • Senator and HON Circle: An extra 44 lbs.

While they don’t officially do status matches, they did in the past, and there is some anecdotal evidence that they might make an exception if you can prove a high volume of revenue flights.
